How to do automotive repainting?
To perform automotive repainting, it is necessary to follow some fundamental steps, such as:
Identify which area will be repaired.
Sand the body with 80/160 grit sandpaper.
Clean the surface with TH710 Degreasing Solution.
Apply K7 Polyester Putty.
Sand the K7 polyester filler with 160 grit sandpaper.
Refine with 320 grit sandpaper to apply the primer.
Apply Wash Primer 550 (if necessary).
Apply Primer from the Skylack® line.
Apply Sanding Control 038.
Sand the primer with 320/400 grit sandpaper.
Refine the primer with 600/800 grit sandpaper.
Clean the surface with TH710 Degreasing Solution.
Apply SKYDUR Polyester Base Paint.
Then apply the Skylack® line varnish.
Sand to polish with 2000 grit sandpaper.
Polishing with polishing compound or SKYFINISH Polishing
Refine the polish with SKYFINISH polisher and foam pad.
Finish with SKYFINISH Brilllo and a microfiber cloth.
It's worth remembering that it's very important that all these steps be performed by a professional, so the result of the automotive repaint will be much better.
